The Hawk

In this post, I am going to touch on the new fits for some of the AFs that I fly.  With all the slots and buffs these have received some of the fits have changed, whilst others have completely different fits now.  This post will be all about the Hawk, which I think received the largest buff in the recent patch as 5 mids on a frigate is brilliant.
First the obvious alterations to the old standards for the Hawk, the MSB fit and the MSE buffer fit.

MSB Active

With the addition of a mid slot, this fit seems to have benefited the most.  It now has the ability to fit a web, which on a rocket ship is vital, this will give it an increased ability to utilise the range it gets on its rockets.
The other option is of course, using that mid to buff an already strong active tank by fitting either an invul or shield boost amplifier. I am not a massive fan of this version as webs are incredibly important for a rocket ship, both for range dictation and damage application, and I am not sure the trade off is worth it.
Below are the two fits I mentioned.

[Hawk, Active ]
Damage Control II
Ballistic Control System II

Medium C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Small Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 400
X5 Energi blah blah web
1MN Afterburner II

Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
[empty high slot]

Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

This is the fit using the extra mid for that web, it gets 250dps heated with Rage Trauma rockets and tanks 164 dps with heat (no implants/boosters/links)

[Hawk, Active ]
Damage Control II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Medium C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I
Invulnerability Field II
Small Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 400
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
1MN Afterburner II

Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
[empty high slot]

Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

This fits has less dps than the previous MSB fit but its tanks 240 dps with heat now (no links/boosts/implants) as you can see though it has no web and this can mean losing out on kills as you can’t keep them tackled and/or can’t apply enough damage in time.

MSE Buffer

The other major beneficiary of the change fits wise is the MSE buffer fit, with the extra mid slot it can now fit a second web and become a slower Hookbill with a better tank and DPS.  Its a very tight fit but those who have flown Dual web hookbills shouldn’t have a problem with this, plus its nowhere near as tight as fitting the equivalent Hookbill fit.
Thanks to the second web, its now possible to use rage ammo against all frigates (in my experience) as you will do near to full dps.  It also means that there will be only a few frigates in the game that you can’t dictate range on inside 10km (Daredevil, Dramiel, Cruor...only if they fit webs) which means you can force the terms of the engagement.

[Hawk, Dual Web]
Ballistic Control System II
Damage Control II

1MN Afterburner II
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I

Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
[empty high slot]

Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

It is a slightly expensive fit, but if the cost is an issue just use meta 3 mid slots.  Either way you will hold a speed advantage over most frigates inside 10km.  This fit produces 250dps with Trauma rage and hits fine all the way to 10km, it has just shy of 10k ehp.  If you want to splash a little more, you could try squeezing on a Gistii B-Type AB for a little extra speed as they are fairly cheap as far as faction goes and the extra 200m/s roughly to your AB speed which can be very handy.

The general tactic with the above fits is try and keep your opponent at range but inside scram range for as long as possible, as you have great dps there and certainly better than most other frigates.  Against larger ships, get close and use small sig and high speed to stay under their guns, pop the drones and whittle them down.  If the larger ship is a missile boat follow the same tactics as against frigates, not because of your own dps but taking a wider orbit allows you to maintain a higher speed which diminishes your opponents dps.

AF Buff

Its Frigate nerf day....I mean AF buff day.  Its going to be very interesting for me over the next couple of days, obviously being a frigate pilot predominantly and flying Hookbills mainly I am going to have to rethink my engagement envelopes.  No longer will I be able to keep range on blaster ships or try and abuse the crappy tracking of the Wolf.....ah well.

As it is buff day though I have been theorycrafting a couple of fits for what is likely to become my AF of choice, the Hawk (well I am a rocket lover).  So far I have settled on three very different setups, each with their own pluses and minuses.

[Hawk, Armour Plate]
400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Damage Control II

Coreli C-Type 1MN Afterburner
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I, Optimal Range

Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
[empty high slot]

Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I
Small Ancillary Current Router I

This is basically my pre-buff fit with a tracking disruptor, with the extra mid and the second damage bonus this thing will be a beast.  8.6k ehp and not sure how much dps but its reliable out to 10km.  Essentially keep range until targets dead.

The other fit I have is the standard shield dual web fit, 250dps and 10k ehp is very nice for a frigate.

(The above was written on buff day)

Testing my fits last night, I have come to the conclusion that the Vengeance and Hawk are definitely the strongest.  Both now break 200dps in a standard fitting and with the other utility available and the fact that this dps is applied from 0-10km means they are very strong.

We had a few test fights in corp last night with people bringing all manner of AFs, although predominantly Enyos and Harpys (I guess people like blasters again).  I, myself, was in a dual rep Vengeance now with added neut.  Testing against someones Harpy, I managed to stay close enough that the neut did its work well before my tank was in trouble.  The added help of the neut on a ship with a large cap is soo powerful in frig fights, being able cap people out whilst running a powerful active tank is impressive.

[Vengeance, Dual Rep Vengeance]
Coreli C-Type Small Armor Repairer
Coreli C-Type Small Armor Repairer
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Damage Control II

Small Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 400
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
1MN Afterburner II

Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
5W neuty thing (Small Neut)

Small Anti-Thermic Pump I
Small Trimark Armor Pump I

This is what I ran with and it worked well, its light on the DPS side of things but thanks to the new damage bonus it nearly matches my pre-buff single reps DPS.  Obviously this thing is about the tank though, all 253dps of it (pre heat).

Unfortunately people are very reluctant to engage the AFs atm.  I think this is because people just aren't sure at the moment of there capabilities.  We did get some ok fights though.
Harpy, Harpy, Jaguar vs. Rupture, Thrasher (No idea where the Retribution came from)
That fight happened fast and with the quite impressive DPS you can get out of harpys the two ships went down fast.

Tonight I am going to give my MWD Enyos a run out in 0.0, attempting the whole pull tackle off, kill tackle game.  Should hopefully work well (300 dps generally kills tackle fast :P)

Last night good night

After the slow night I had Monday night I was struggling to even bother logging in, I was out in Doril and would have to do 11 jumps through highsec to get to the rest of my ships.  I did log in the end and drag myself back to Amamake with a bit of the loot that I have had for a while in Curse (Couple of faction MWD/Reppers).

Once I arrived back in Ama, I went out on the usual route in my Hookbill.  Essentially trying to get Militia peeps to kill me.  After a couple of kills not really worth mentioning I came across the reason I fly dual prop Hookbills in the first place.....Slicers, it also served to demonstrate the difference between a good slicer pilot and a bad slicer pilot.

I have always maintained that player skill trumps SP in pretty much all PvP situations, and that statement is even more relevant in the case of the Slicer.  A great slicer pilot is able to kill basically all frigates, regardless of fit, with its brilliant ranged dps even the ones that can catch it have generally taken so much damage that, by the time they do they still can't win the dps race.  However, the margin of error when flying one is very slim, if you make a mistake and get scrammed and webbed early you wont survive long.
Last night I engaged 3 different slicers all fit roughly the same way but all piloted differently.  I will call these pilots the good, the bad and the lucky.

The Lucky

This was the first Slicer of the evening, landing in the belt where him and his mate in a Harpy were shooting an alliance mates Thrasher.  I quickly webbed and scrammed the Harpy to slow him down and allow the Thrasher to catch up with him, whilst I went after the Slicer.  Getting to 13km of him I landed the web then I smacked into an asteroid, a tiny little one but apparently I hit where it was when full and bumped off of air, this allowed the Slicer pilot to escape :(.

The Bad

Warping to an outpost in Vard, I had a Slicer on scan.  Once inside I started slowboating towards him, trying to bait him into burning towards me to point me.  The reason for this is if he hasn't done this properly an O/H burst of my MWD generally lands me within scram range where the Slicer dies very quickly.
That didn't happen this time, instead the Slicer started burning towards me with his prop mod off, so I did the same thinking he would warp once I get to a certain distance.  We eventually reach 25km of each other with me at just under half shields, this however was close enough that I could burn towards him with the mwd on before he has a chance to react and move away.  Credit to the pilot I suppose at least he noticed my sudden increase of speed but unfortunately it was far too late and despite my loss of shield so far he went down fast.

The Good

There is always one isn't there.  Again as before I was warping to a faction plex and according to d-scan this Slicer seemed to be in the plex, just like before.  What followed was a catalogue of errors on my behalf and some absolutely nifty piloting by Nortel of Imperial Fedyakin.
I landed on the gate to find the Slicer pilot 11km from me, queue error #1, I didn't have my tackle overheated, had I realised he hadn't entered the plex yet I could have overheated the web prior to landing and this story would be different.  Hastily switching on my MWD to burn for him I made error #2 I bumped the gate, this stopped me getting within scram range and again changing the end of this story.
After this try as I might I just couldn't coax him into making a mistake, and was resolved to trying to burn myself out of point range.  With my ship spewing flames and my hull resting at 66% structure, I managed to break orbit range just long enough to warp out.

This was the closest I have come to losing this ship to a Slicer and also served to show why I fly dual prop.  The increased speed I get over the AB fits, means I can escape from situations like 'The Good'.  It also gives me the tank that means I can bait people into doing stuff like 'The Bad'.

In Other News

Looking around the blogosphere yesterday I came across this post by Keyanu about how he has recently broken the top 2k mark on Battleclinic.  It made me wonder how I have been doing on the BC ranking system.  Before I joined Heretics, my main at the time Korg Leaf was ranked somewhere near 11k and Korg Tronix was ranked roughly 2k below him.  Since I have joined Heretics and Tronix has become my main I am close to breaking the 3k mark, which means I have gone up roughly 10k places in the last 4 months and I am still going up at a pace of 200-400 places a week (According to the ranking tracker).  I have to say despite the problems I have with the points system on BC in general I am quite pleased by this and shows if you want to rise quickly on BC solo in frigates.

Also I am closing in on the 1k kill mark on Tronix and I think I will replace the ship of whoever my last solo kill is, before breaking that barrier.

It's, oh so, quiet

Last couple of nights I have logged into very little occuring on my usual roaming routes.  It's either they are all docked or, as was the case in Providence last night, they bring 7 Battlecruisers, ECM support, a couple of t2/faction frigs and some destroyers to kill 4 people in frigates.

So I am not really sure what to do to get out of this slump, any suggestions to a decent route for a frigate pilot to take that doesn't involve the Amamake > Kamela route or the Providence/Catch > Stain I would love to hear because they have been dead the last couple of nights, at least for me anyway.

If I can't find any fun in a frigate though I may have to ship up to an active tanked Drake or something of that ilk and derp around till someone shoots me......I don't want this.

First Two Weeks of January

I am fairly pleased with how December went with my highest kill total of any month and the majority of those kills coming whilst flying solo.  Its just a pity I didn't have fraps running for a lot of it as I have missed filming some great fights (Hookbill vs. Ishkur, finished with 12% armour).
January has started just as well, with 37 kills last week and 25 this week, still no where near as prolific as last month but still on course to top 100 kills in a month again so that makes me happy.
My losses on the other hand have been mostly of the stupid nature, either coming through late night derpage or due to a large quantity of alcohol that I consumed during the day.  Even then taking away the three expensive losses and the others seem very cheap.

I be a director now

The major piece of change occurring in my EvE life this month was becoming a director for the EU Tz in Heretic University.  I am quite pleased the higher ups have trusted me with this and I have quite a few plans that I think I will start trying to role out in the coming weeks.

University is a proving/testing ground for prospective pilots in Heretic Army, it allows them to make some mistakes independent of Army whilst still being part of the Amamake culture.  If after a month the pilot has proven his skill in both solo and small gang PvP, he/she will be invited to join Army.  Not everyone will get invited but some will.

Only issue is now that I am director I will have to start taking gangs out more often and I really despise FC work, mostly because I am bad at it but also due to having people rely on my orders to help them survive.  Basically I don't like the responsibility, at least I will get some practice and no longer be bad I suppose.

They seem to be doing well so far, with Az Tek our 4m SP, super find leading the way in kills in his Thrasher with 99 kills for the month so far.  He is a prime example of pilot skill trumping SP in fights.
Heretic University Killboard

They also have a great banner for their board designed by Kri Matar.

The other big news in corp is we are now in an alliance......no we haven't joined some random 0.0 alliance....we petitioned CCP and got the Heretic Nation alliance back.

Good Fights

I have had a good few fights to start the year out but my favourite easily goes to the first flight of my MSE Harpy.  I undocked from Amamake and headed out on one of my usual roaming routes, jumping into Siseide I found a Jaguar on scan and proceeded to play a round of belt bingo.

Eventually I landed in the same belt as him but 60km off, I loaded up null as I thought he would kite me (everyone would try) but it turned out he wanted a tank/gank race. The problem was I had started with Null loaded and up close I was suffering the tracking issues associated with that ammo.  I started to pull range slowly but I was taking a pounding, my shield gave out before him and I started to bail.  His shield gave out as I was about to enter structure, spamming warp to get my pod out, he entered structure.  Suddenly a flash and I thought shit I haven't entered warp yet.  It was at this point I noticed my pod had guns and a shield extender fitted.  Even my sleep deprived brain thought this odd.  Needless to say the picture below probably expresses my shock at surviving that fight.
Drackarn: @Korgtronix Whatever you do...... don't....... sneeze......:)

Something has to be said for t1 frigate fights, although anyone can get in them and they don't take long to skill up to a decent level there just always seems to be something pure about killing things in them.  Something that warms the cockles of my little black heart.
So undocking in my hull tanked Incursus (Sounds stupid but its great) I warped to a belt that had another Incursus and a Rifter in.  They seemed to be itching for a fight but as I had landed 45km off them (this was intentional) they had to burn to me first.
The reason I say it was intentional is because my ship has the grand total of 2.7k ehp and there was no way I would be able to brawl them both down in my current fit at 0, landing this far off allowed me to split them up a bit which means I can essentially 1v1 them or at least put enough damage on one that I can win the damage race once they both get into range.
Luckily for me the Incursus was MWD fit like me and the Rifter was AB fit, burning away from them to split them up some more, I eventually engaged once there was a gap of roughly 50km, overheating everything and sticking my scram web on him, me and the Incursus started brawling.  He was going down but my shield vanished and a good chunk of my armour but he popped with me around 45% armour.

Now I had the choice of bailing with my ship and a kill, or risking the ship to get what is at best a difficult fight when I am at full health.  To be honest there was only really one choice, sticking my drone on the Rifter whilst I was at 30km seemed to have him distracted as he didnt target me till I was nearly through his armor buffer and, inevitably he popped.

All in all a good start to the new year

We are recruiting

University Requirements.

10m Sp (This isnt set in stone)
PvP Experience (We would prefer a grounding in small gang or solo work)
Must be able to field a BC with reasonable skills
Must be self sufficient
Some proof of solo kills

None of the above requirements are set in stone and we will forgive you not meeting certain things based on out interview with you and your general attitude.  The SP and experience criteria are interchangeable, we might accept a 5m sp character with a ton of solo kills or a 30m sp character with only 1, however if you dont meet either of those requirements please do not apply.

The most common gangs we fly are:
Wolf Packs (Both t1 and t2 frigs)
t1 Cruisers
Shield BCs
Nano BCs

Therefore we would prefer you to be able to bring a ship to any of the above gangs.

The Coercer Rocks

I have decided fuck having lots of mids......who needs mids.  However I am not going to join my minmatar brothers and fly those weird two mid ships, thats too many mids.....I am going to fly the golden space fork....The Coercer.

Here is my fit.

[Coercer, 1 Mid Best Mid]
Tracking Enhancer II
Heat Sink II
Damage Control II
400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I

Warp Disruptor II

Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S

Small Energy Collision Accelerator I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I

Who needs prop mods.....pah, I have 330dps or 17km optimal with 260dps.

So I flew this last night and had some tasty kills in it.  I was there hanging around in the top belt (Hey I have to act like a Heretic sometimes) when a very unfortunate pilot landed 11km from me.  One long point and 3 volleys later and this was posted in local.

Tiger Blades > The Fuck??

I had liberated him of his Slicer shaped confines and allowed his pod to get all the invisible space vacuum it could want.

I then noticed another frigate on scan I could possibly bait into shooting my poor one mid ship......I mean my powerful space vessel.  Warp to the Osso gate there was a Rifter that was obviously feeling frisky, as he started shooting and I returned fire.  It took alot longer to kill than the slicer but eventually I liberated another trapped pod.

After a good start to the evening I decided to go watch some telly at this point whilst I had alot of momentum going......what do you mean that was a stupid idea.
So once I got back from wasting the momentum built up in front of the idiot box, I went back out in the Coercer and eventually ended up coming across a C&P celeb Lady Spank in his DD.  At this point, buoyed by my earlier successes I decided that I would try my one mid glory boat against the king of frigs.
Warping to the spot he was in, only to find he had warped towards me....eventually we landed on each other and after stupidly setting auto repeat off on my guns/point originally we got down to the brawl.  It was a close one but my ship had just enough buffer to kill the DD as I entered structure.

I did look some more after this but I mean when you kill a DD in a shit ship it does make you reluctant to risk your glorious vessel.

Life in Lowsec

I am finally fully set up in my low sec home, I mean its only taken 3 months of hauling when I can be bothered and jumping my pod through high sec so that I can set up a JC somewhere other than Heimatar space.  Still that part is over, thankfully.

So on to what I have been doing with myself I suppose, I recently decided to organise a frigate tournament details of which can be found here.  Just going to be a standard 1v1 style tournament until only one man is left.....cue Highlander quote 'There can be only one!'.  Now this all sounds great but as it stands I may just run it as a massive FFA and see who comes out on top atm as I still dont have enough participants to make the round robin worthwhile.  Either way the prizes will still be the same so its no skin off my teeth, will just change how I will do the video afterwards I suppose.

I have also finally settled on a standard ship for my pvp use, the Hookbill, specifically the dual prop fit shown below.
[Caldari Navy Hookbill, Dual Prop]
Damage Control II
Navy Micro Auxiliary Power Core

Coreli C-Type 1MN Afterburner
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I

Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Thorn Rocket

Small Core Defence Field Extender I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I

The above version is the high isk spend version, generally I have a slightly different version with a t2 web and ab and the meta 3 scram.  It is a great frigate and thanks to its MWD/web/scram combo can catch a lot of tackle frigates and ranged frigates off guard when they try to dictate range on you.
Thanks to the Hookbills range bonus and its relatively high speed, I can dictate range on the majority of frigates meaning I can run if I need to, although I don't always remember too.  This relatively high survival rate does however lead to me making some poor decisions concerning ECM and Sabres.
It has been a very successful ship for me however with nearly 80 kills in the last month and 7 losses (2 from gate camps) giving it a very high return, for the foreseeable future I don't think I will be flying much else...well except maybe my Raptor once in a while.

Fights

Hookbill vs. Slicer........+Slicer

This was one of those amazingly unfortunate moments when everything goes right and then spectacularly craps on your lap.

I was out on a roam in my Hookbill, doing my usual circuit around to Auga/Kourmonen when jumping through a gate there was a Minnie Militia Slicer on the gate.  I held my cloak whilst I considered my options
Slicers are generally fit for kiting other frigates taking advantage of there impressive range and are generally considered one of the best at it (at least at a frigate level) due to the high dps they still produce when at range.

As he was 15km off me I knew I could catch him with surprise, I decloaked and fired up the MWD burning towards him with O/H Web and Scram, he locked and started firing with me returning the favour.
As it happens he turned out to be a brawling fit which meant I could get in close and use my relative speed to play havoc with his tracking, using my afterburner and speed advantage I got in close and started to orbit. Even with all of this the fight was going to go down to the wire, as my shield was slowly stripped away his armor began to slowly drop as well, which shocked me as Slicers are not known to have a decent buffer.  We both hit structure about the same time, but thanks to Rockets nice volley and the timing of it he popped as I hit 20% hull, as I looted though Mystical Might (A well known pilot in the militia area) decloaked in another slicer and essentially alpha'd what was left of my ship before I could jump/warp....sucks.

Frigate Tournament (In Detail)

So I have mentioned that I will be organising a frigate tournament.  I have had some decent interest so far, mostly from outside my own corp which is nice.  I will list below a more in depth run down of how the frigate tournament will be organised and hopefully this will convince more people to sign up.

Firstly the Rules

  1. You HAVE to fit a point - This is a pvp tournament and as with real world pvp without a point you wont get far, and I really don't want ridiculous frigate fits that wouldnt be viable usually (i.e. Dual Rep Punishers, Webbing Wolfs etc.)
  2. There will be a designated area for which these matches take place, leaving this area forfeits the fight.  Only exception to this is if the other person has obviously violated a rule him/herself.
  3. There will be no ECM modules allowed.  Although it is a perfectly viable tactic I would prefer for competitions sake that everyone doesn't turn up in Griffin/Kitsunes and perma jams everyone.  This doesn't make for an interest competition.  ECM Drones are also not allowed for the same reason, except replace Griffin/Kitsune with Ishkur/Worm etc.
  4. All frigates are allowed (including Griffins/Kitsunes) but I reserve the right to change this rule, as I want this to be as competitive a tournament as possible.
  5. Each match will be timed, there will be a maximum of 2 minutes per fight.  If both frigates are still alive after this (well done) the fight will be declared a draw and they will have to wait until the other fights in that round are played out before being able to settle the match.  For example if you are the first fight and you draw, you will need to wait until the end of that rounds matches before replaying your match.
  6. Each pilot can use any frig they want each round, as soon as you undock for your match you cannot redock.  For example, you could use a Taranis in round 1 and then a Slicer in round 2, however you cannot undock, see what your opponent is in and then change your ship accordingly.
  7. There will be no using booster alts during the tournament, I have no problem with you faction fitting your frigates but booster alts are out of the question.  You will be fleeted with me (Korg Tronix) and your opponent during your fight, if you drop fleet prior to the fight ending you will be disqualified.

Time, Place and Date

The time and date of the tournament will be GMT (UTC) timezone between 7-12 and I will hold it over the week of the 5th to 11th of December.  The flexibility in the date is try and give a chance for the most people to take part, the timezone is because, as much as I love the people who play EvE, I live in UK and I really don't want to be up at 2 in the morning to run a frigate tourney.

As for the location, I will hold it in the Bosboger system (4j from Rens).  This system is 1j from high sec which will make logistics for everyone taking part as easy as possible.  The high sec gate is rarely camped and the system is fairly quiet so its also unlikely we will be disturbed.

Any change to the details above I will message you in game.

And now for the fun bits

The Prizes

1st Prize - Vigilant Cruiser - The Serpentis cruiser requires Gallente and Minmatar Cruiser skills and is fitted with hybrids.  It produces a ridiculously high amount of DPS and has a web strength bonus.  Of course thats only relevant if you want to keep it, it currently sells for 300-350mil

2nd Prize - Navy Faction Cruiser of your choice - Exactly as it says, you choose a faction cruiser from 1 of the 4 empire factions.
3rd Prize - Navy Faction Frigate of your choice - Same as above but a frigate instead.

'I lol at you' Award - Navy Faction Frigate of your choice - This will be awarded to the person who comes in the most loltastic frigate and has success i.e. winning in a combat cov ops will score some major brownies with me.  WARNING - If everyone turns up in funny ships it is no longer funny.

The Footage

I would love it if everyone could fraps their fights during this tournament.  I aim to make a video with as much footage as possible contained in it.  Obviously this is subject to your computer actually being able to, I don't want anyone burning out graphics cards.

If you want to enter, eve mail me in game at 'Korg Tronix' and join the 'Frigate PVP' mailing list

I done did it again

I thought this month was going to be good, after last month where I killed alot and lost more than I should I thought I would do better this month but so far I have been introduced into the annoying part of being a pirate in lowsec.

Its been a strange month so far, some nights I will get some nice kills (Kill1 Kill2 Kill3) and then others I will do something stupid and die in a fire (Loss1 Loss2 Loss3).  In short I have lost far too much this month and it is really eating into my isk buffer (yes yes I will take donations :P), this has meant I have had to go back to what I hate on my alt, manufacturing.  Its going ok, minus the obvious problems with manufacturing and selling stuff in lowsec.

I have at least achieved some things this month though, I passed the 1000 kills mark (only if you total both my accounts) and have finally gotten into building bits and pieces of capital ships, which I have had the skills for since '09 but have never used.

In short though despite those minor achievements I need to stop doing stupid shit in my frigates and start becoming the 'efficient' solo pilot I was a couple of months ago.

Rifter vs. Rifter

It has been quite some time since I used a t1 frigate for a regular roam, rather than in 1v1 challenges, but I decided near the beginning of the month to fit up some shield rifters and go out to lose them.
As mentioned earlier though this happens to be one of the times I was feeling a little Pr0.
I jumped into Ofleim, seeing another Rifter on d-scan towards the Plex I warp to 0.  I cam out of warp 11km off of this other Rifter, quickly getting into range of each other I realised a problem.....he was armor fit.  This meant due to him having a web he would be able to dictate range on me.  Making matters worse I default to the high damage ammo in a shield rifter, I needed to close range fast, overheating my AB I tried to keep as close as possible but the web was causing me problems.
Eventually he was low armor but I was also just entering armor, quickly I started hemorrhaging armor then bleeding hull at roughly the same time he was.  Luckily the pew pew gods smiled on me and he popped with me at 20% structure.  Unfortunately another Rifter landed just as I finished looting, I bugged out to live another day....by warping to a gate with gcc and very little hp left.  My fight with the gate was quick and thanks to the 'rascist' gate guns not having tackle I was out with 5% structure. Derp.

All in all been a bit of an odd month on the pvp front, although the last couple of night have been alot better.

So Far, So Good pt. 2

This is going to cover some of the best fights I have had over the last month or so.  Unfortunately ones I missed out on frapsing cause I'm a. a cheap git and didn't get a full version till recently and b. utter fail when it comes to switching on at the beginning of fights and this makes me sad.

Good Fights

Vengeance vs. Rifter, Thrasher, Tristan and Taranis

I was on a roam around the usual areas of Minnie Militia when I had finally gotten back to glorious Amamake with its new PL locals.  Warping to one of my usual spots of the top belt I see a thrasher and Tristan sitting around 20km off the centre with a Rifter I had been attempting to catch about 300km off the belt in another direction.  Fancying my chances to at least take one or two out I warped to the belt at 50km and tried to get the thrasher and tristan to split up.

This was working quite well, until the Tristan got within 20km he turned around and started to burn towards the belt again.  Now I was itching for a fight so I started to burn towards them as fast as my little ship could go....I soon realised my mistake when the Thrasher and Tristan were suddenly on me, I had been baited into a brawl.  Doing the only thing I could do I attempted to brawl them down.  I pointed up the thrasher and threw my scram and web on him pulling range in an attempt to lower his incoming dps whilst slowly working on his buffer.  With my tank taking a hit from both the ships, we were joined by the rifter pilot from earlier.  So what was a 2v1 was now a 3v1, I needed to get the incoming dps down sharpish.
Overheating my tank and rocket launchers the thrasher went into armor then popped, I pointed the tristan and using the same tactics as before I pulled range and started to chip at his ships buffer he also exploded.  This left just me and the rifter, my tank was holding as I pointed him and went through his tank.  He popped in a blue flash and gfs were exchanged with all in local.

As I began to loot the field a PL Taranis appeared 25km away from me, he pointed me and expecting the PL gang to appear as well or that I would get one shot by a titan I was resigned to my fate and started firing back.  He popped alot faster than I thought he would and the gang never came so I finished looting the field and warped off having enjoyed a great fight and a real vindication of my choice in ships.

Vengeance vs. Daredevil

This was quite possibly my favourite 1v1 for two reasons, firstly I had a gang 1 jump out that were going to jump in once I got tackle and secondly its a frigging daredevil, a well fit one.  So I will set the scene for this, the three of us were out on a roam, a thrasher, vengeance and slicer(honestly cant remember what the other guys were in just know they were small) when I spotted a Daredevil sitting on a gate in the system ahead.  Reporting as such over comms I warped to a belt to tempt him into shooting me with the plan being once  I had him tackled they would jump in and we would kill him.

He warped in and we proceeded to open fire, I knew I was never going to dictate range in this fight being in a slow ship being 90% webbed means its just not going to happen.  I still overheated my AB to try my best to mess up the Daredevils tracking as best I could whilst making my repper work harder than usual.  Giving the sign over the comms I was just trying to hold on long enough for the rest of the gang to arrive but then I noticed something...the Daredevil was in structure and I was still in my armor, no one else had arrived and suddenly a blue flash and the DD pilot was staring at me from his pod.

Stupid Losses

Minus the beginning of this month a lot of my losses so far have either come from great fights (My Vengeances attempt to tank two Dramiels for example) or stupid things (Losing a Battle Buzzard to gate guns), I need to cut out the stupid losses if I want to become efficient otherwise I am going to run low on isk fast even if it cost less than 100mil to stock my ships up for a month, based on current loss data.
I also should probably stop playing when drunk as I have lost a couple of really strangely fitted ships due to this and I could really do without it.  Even if waking up the next day to find some strange fraps you have no recollection of can be quite amusing.

Video

I am in the process of making a pvp video.  Its mostly frigate combat with some larger ship fights thrown in.  I warn you though I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to video editing software so be prepared for some badly edited video :).

Hopefully I will get the video finished this evening (6/10/2012) and I can get it uploaded, keep getting the problem that as soon as I think its done I get a fight that I want to put in it but ah well guess I will just have to be stricter with which fights get in there.

So Far, So Good pt. 1

I originally intended this post to be a summation of my first month in piracy but due to my laziness and Maths coursework it has been delayed and will now be a summation of my first two months in piracy.....roughly.
This will be quite a long post as I am going to try and be as detailed as I can be, but hopefully it will still be interesting and not at all waffly(Its a word).

Pirating So Far

Its been quite a transition and the first two months have been a success...I think.  I know killboard stats are fairly useless but I have managed to maintain a ~90% efficiency whilst getting over 120 kills in frigates which is nice only recently lost my 20th I believe.  So a 6:1 ratio.
That isn't to say I haven't done some really stupid things and alot of those losses reflect that.  Some lost through stupidity and others through getting used to the low sec mechanics again.  I will touch on these later.

At the moment I just want to write a little about the differences between low sec and NPC null in terms of the kind of PvP I have found.  The biggest and most obvious one is that lack of bubbles, I can't tell you how nice it has been not having to fit a MWD to all my frigates, it also makes escaping the inevitable gate camps easier.  Although with the militias tendency to fly frigates and my outlaw status that isn't always as easy as it looks and does require some knowledge of agro mechanics.
I have noticed a lack of larger gangs in Heimatar lowsec, minus the odd militia bait and blob fleet most pilots tend to be in <5 person gang category.  This is most likely due to my area of lowsec, being the main area for the Minmatar/Amarr militia, that there is a larger number of small corporations and the lack of cohesion in the militias mean that they tend to stay with each other.  That's not to say militia don't all fleet up together sometimes but it seems rare, largely due to how easy it is to get spies in the oppositions militia.
This all helps me as I love flying frigates and thanks to the above reasons I can get away with it around Amamake, they mean I can get plenty of kills (Militia Frigates and Destroyers) and still get around without getting popped by gate camps.  The transition hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows, getting used to having gate guns again hasn't been great and I have lost a couple of ships to them because I have forgotten about the GCC (Somehow all have been CovOps frigates).

The largest problem I have found since becoming a pirate again is the same problem all pirates face eventually, earning isk and logistics.  The adjustment to pirating has meant I have refocused my alt to making me some isk in high sec, this has meant ironically I had to rat that characters sec up so he could actually access high sec.  For some reason I chose the nice character to become the pirate and my old pirate character to become my high sec hauler/trader alt, strange that.  As far as loot and earning from piracy alone I think I am breaking even, maybe even in the black (Not by a lot mind) but as I only fly frigates and generally solo, big ransoms and loot drops haven't really come my way as of yet.
After two months of piracy and buying alot of frigates for my character I have roughly the same isk buffer I had when I started so I would say its working out well so far.

I am going to talk about the pvp parts of piracy life in my next post otherwise its going to take me months to finish a post.

Delayed Posting

Ill start by apologising that this isn't going to be a long post, I haven't really managed to spend any meaningful amount of time on EvE over the last couple of weeks due to varying real life commitments.  However I will get back to doing write ups of some of my fights and whatever else I get up to.

So here are the two 'stand out' fights that I managed to get in the last two weeks.

Hawk vs. Dramiel

Logging in one evening after work I was told of some Dramiel pilots running around Amamake.  I shipped into my Hawk and went hunting.
I warped myself to zero at a belt other than the top one and eventually a Dramiel was kind enough to make his presence known to me.  I knew, it being lowsec chances are he would AB/WEB/SCRAM fit if he was remotely well fit which meant my range advantage would go out of the window quickly.  As he started to burn the 50 or so kilometers to me I set my keep range at 8km (inside scram and web range but at the edge of most Dramiels gun range) and let him burn towards me.  Overheating everything relevant I opened fire and webbed my quarry, his shields were slowly dropping....and I was still keeping my range on him.  Eventually his shields gave out and he popped, leaving me to enjoy my first solo kill on a Dramiel in my Hawk.

I was fairly happy with how I played that fight and my ship did its job brilliantly.  Having since tried out the MSE fit Hawk I have to say the Dual web armor Hawk is still my favourite version of this ship.  It also still has the reputation of not being a great ship which works brilliantly in its favour.

Omen Vs. Exequeror

A couple of nights later I ran across a Bosboger regular Razor Soulvoyeur in his Exequeror, now we have tangled a couple of times and they are usually always fun fights so I shipped into my new Nano Omen.  Warping to top belt I landed 70km off of him so we made the slow dance towards each other, him cause he was in a slow ship, me because I was in a ship with crap capacitor.  Eventually we made it into engagement range and started firing upon each other.

I was wary of getting to close as I had a fairly good idea how he had his ship fit and I would lose the tank/gank race if I got too close.  The problem with this is I kept leaving point range which worried me a little.
We started killing off each others drones, although he was getting through mine faster than I was getting through his (5 to 3).  Realising this I had my drones attack him and at that range I could just cycle through them with my lasers.
After about a minute of this I had started back on his ship, his buffer being whittled down by the sustained laser fire.  Unfortunately a neutral pirate appeared in the belt in Cyclone 70km off, I wanted the kill so I overheated and burnt towards him and he popped.  I looted and warped off before the Cyclone got close enough, much to that pilots chagrin.

Have to say I wasn't too disappointed in the Nano Omens performance, yes it has crap capacitor and shitty ehp but its dps at range was impressive and when I burnt in with Multifrequency loaded I liked the DPS.  Having said that though I really need to get better at kiting and keeping stuff in point range, the amount of time I didn't have the ship pointed was shocking.

Thats basically it at the moment.  With Deus Ex out and my rediscovery of Guild Wars, my time on EvE is a little hit and miss, although I did get a nice fight last night in my Vengeance and managed to lose my Buzzard stupidly.  I will still get some posts written, hopefully much more regularly than I have recently though.

Now I'm settled....

Piracy....Piracy....Piracy

So Amamake is my home system, most of my ships are there and due to the way traffic flows and the militia pilots in the area, it seems to be a flashpoint for a lot of fights.  This does mean its difficult to leave the system sometimes because sods law something tasty will be found as soon as I leave the system.  Not leaving does breed complacency(actually spelt that right first time) though, partially due to 'Sods Law' and partially due to being in fleet and getting the bonuses that derives.
Now as a solo player I don't use gang boosters, the idea of moving a gang boosting ship along roams with my frigate does not appeal to me but when the opportunity to have boosters in system arises you go for it, I mean who wouldn't.  Especially with my Hawk, having dual 18km webs is very nice.  However as said this does make it difficult to leave and can make you more risk averse when the boosts are no longer there so to stop this I still try my best to roam away from Amamake.

Now on to the interesting parts of my week.

I was gently warping around the many belts of Amamake, making short work of the local belt rats in my Hawk, when suddenly I was set upon by a ruffian in a Rifter.  No sooner had this hooligan began his assault that he was joined by another.  Bravely my Hawks systems sprang into life locking down the first rifter and heating up my thrust systems I settled into my orbit hoping to prolong my death.  Almost as soon as it started though the first Rifter hull started to spurt fire and exploded in a glorious blue flash.  Turning my attention to the now solo friend I went for the same tactics, once again fire flew out of my opponents ship and it became dust.  That will teach them for shooting people in belts.....I mean who does that :P.

A couple of nights later, whilst roaming in my shiny new Vengeance, I happened upon a stabber at my home station.  Watching him warp to a belt, I decided to follow to 'help' him.  Landing in the belt I landed on him predictably and locked him up, applying the webs and the scram.  It was at this point I noticed the Thrasher sitting 50km off the Stabber....potentially this could get messy.  The Thrasher warped off to the nearby planet and warped back at 10km, I now had the attention of two ship on my small hull.  With my extremely low dps trying to eat into the active/buffer that the Stabber had both ships started to take small chunks off my shields. I decided to swap to the likely squishier target in the Thrasher, as my guns started to land their blows, his armor and shield burnt away.  As the Thrasher exploded and the Stabber had just entered hull when a third ship entered the fray, a Merlin I had a run in with earlier.  He got there just in time to whore the Stabber kill. Locking this invader up and going to work on his buffer, he did the same but I can perma tank him and it just prolonged the inevitable as he was soon wrenched from his hull.  Obviously all of these ships other than the Merlin were fail fit, but it was a nice fight as my vengeance really proved itself tank wise.

First Week Yarring Part 2.

Armor Hawks are awesome

So the other staple ship of my new piracy career has been the Hawk, the Caldari assault frigate.
If you have read any of my other blog posts, it will start to become obvious that I like missiles.  The advantages they have appeal to me, as long as you can dictate range you generally out dps most things.  To this end I decided to try the Armor Hawk, thanks to the dual webs it has it can dictate range on most frigates inside scram range whilst still having a decent level of ehp to give you the time to get to this range depending on your starting position.

So whilst roaming around in the Hawk, I happened upon a flashy in a Claw on a gate.  He warped of to the top belt in Siseide, landing on top of him we locked each other up and I clicked keep at range for 8km. Fucked up a little at the start though, left my keep at range button on the wrong distance and ending up running at him, this meant I took alot more damage than I needed to. Doesn't matter though as I recovered from the fail and he popped before I hit armor.
Moving on my next jump found the gate camped by 3 Thrashers, predictably as soon as I decloaked they locked me and attempted to alpha me....they failed and I moved to point one.  Grabbed one, one warped and the other got popped by the guns.  Obviously the one I had pointed went down and I got his pod, I had a few giggles in local.

Last night I was engaging in the past time enjoyed by all Heretics sitting in Amamake top belt, on my own :(. Doesn't matter though as a Rifter landed at 0 on the belt.  Fancying my chances (well duh) I warped onto him and locked him up getting into my orbit he popped.  Not sure but I have a feeling he may have been fail bait for another frigate because as soon as he popped his mate landed in a Malediction. Unfortunately for this violent gentlemen he landed close enough that I could point and web him.  I locked him up and got my webs on him, for some reason he didn't fire back, not my problem, pop.

So I Pirate

I have gone pirate, I am surprised how fast my sec has dropped though, already below the -5 mark.  It may be my bad memory but I was sure it took me ages to get my sec to drop last time I went pirate even with the pod kills.  I don't know if anything has changed in the sec drop sense since then though, don't really follow changes like that so meh.
I will say I am enjoying being back in lowsec, getting the chance to fight frigates without them decloaking falcons (ffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu falcon) on me or being bait for a large gang that comes to buttrape me a second after I agro.

Although this trip to the dark side hasn't been all rosey.  I have found getting used to being on the wrong side of gate guns again has taken some getting used to...my poor cheetah.

Still it has mostly been about flying frigates although next week I may give my nano Omens a run out (expect stupid losses) or my XL Celestis (expect stupid losses).  Still I am having alot of fun in my frigates and it has given me some of the hand shaking pvp I have missed.

Thought people would start getting sick of me posting Pony vids on here so went with some good music instead.

First Week Yarring Part 1.

Yarrr and Stuff

As mentioned last week I have joined Heretic Academy, now being new to the Amamake/Minmatar low sec area I have spent most of my week in frigates trying to get 1v1s in belts etc. whilst setting up bookmarks.
Its actually been a fairly good idea doing this as I have been able to see who are the guys who generally have back up, when the busy periods are and how some of the more well known pilots fit their frigates.

I have already said I have been flying frigates mainly, but in particular the battle Buzzard has been my frigate of choice.  It allows me to set up the bookmarks in safety and means I can still take on most frigates/destroyers.
If you are unfamiliar with the battle buzzard here is the fit:

[Buzzard, Battle]
Damage Control II
Micro Auxiliary Power Core I

1MN Afterburner II
Warp Scrambler II
Stasis Webifier II
Stasis Webifier II
Tracking Disruptor II

Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I
Small Bay Loading Accelerator I

It flies like a frigate recon, now I mean by this that it has relatively pants ehp/dps but thanks to those mid slots it can take its time against other frigates.  Then it just cloaks up and disappears :).

Just roaming around I found to be fairly inefficient in this ship however.  Mostly due to trying to sneak up on other frigates in a belt and them warping before I can get them in a decent range to decloak on them.
However I have gotten a couple of 1v1 request when people see me in it, obviously they think it will be easy.
First of these was a Rifter in Egglehende, I had decloaked to bait him off of the gate but he warped to the control bunker and asked for a 1v1 in local.  I went straight in, we locked each other up and started fighting.  With the Buzzards e-war you can settle into an 8km orbit/keep at range and not be touched by autocannon damage, once there the Rifter stood no chance against me and my rockets did their work.
Almost as soon as he popped though his friend decloaked 28km off in a stealth bomber, I'm fairly sure I could have taken him had he been closer but if he was MWD fit he would be able to keep me at range and pointed so instead I cloaked and tried to slowboat to him.....he warped when I was 13km from him.

The next kills I got in this weren't great but they were recon type kills.  Decloak...point....pop.  So I will just link the mails and say that they were very funny to see it actually work. Thrasher. Rifter. Pod.
Unfortunately that is the end of my Battle Cov Ops kills, not for want of trying, but I seem to have developed a nasty habit of burning out my point whilst in them and due to this have lost out on a Jaguar kill and Ranis kill.

So in summation the Battle Buzzard is a great ship for for making you piss yourself laughing when you get something nice in it, but delivers a lot of bum clenching moment when you fuck up and burn out your mid slots.

Transition and Moving Stuff

Moving Stuff

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I am returning to piracy and because of this I have spent the last week or so, slowly moving my ships from Hagekan to Rens so that I can join a corp in Minnie Space.  This unfortunately has meant there has been a lack of PvP in my life recently, as you can imagine moving 40 or so rigged ships does take up some time.
However I have found a pirate corp now and as of 20:45? tonight I will be a member of the Heretics Academy.  The Heretics Academy aren't so much an academy as a testing ground for the Heretic Army, where pilots that haven't flown with, or been recommended to the Army, have to join first.  So naturally as I haven't I am joining them.  I don't mind this though as I relish the fact that not only will I be pirating again but I will have to prove myself competent enough to move into the Army.
Unfortunately this requires moving the ships again for the obvious reason that once I start losing sec status trying to access a 0.9 system will become very difficult....I think this time though I will just use Red Frog to move it closer.

What PVP I have gotten

Having said all that I have still gotten some decent....well ok pvp whilst moving.

Whilst setting up some off gate bookmarks in my Cheetah, I had to log off for a bit.  Logging back in I found a Stabber and Catalyst on directional scan, narrowing it down it looked like they were ratting in a belt warping my Cheetah in I landed 50km off of the Stabber and decided against burning for them.  The age of the pilots meant that if they were remotely well fit I wouldn't be able to cover the 50km before popping.  So bookmarking a wreck near them I warped out and warped back to that.
This time landing 18km of the Stabber with the Catalyst 30km away.  I got into a tight orbit on the stabber and pointed and webbed him, I put the tracking disruptor on the Catalyst.  Thinking behind this is it would force him to cover most of the 30km before he could help his friend.  Luckily the Stabber was at half armor when I pointed him and he succumbed to my mighty weapons.  I then burnt for the Catalyst and settled into an 8km orbit, with the tracking disruptor as well as the web and scram he had no hope of covering the distance to be able to hit me and popped as well...talk about mixed guns.

Last night, as I was meant to be doing some work for Uni, I decided to can flip instead in my buzzard. Only got one bite of my hook.  Another canflipper in a Rifter, as I had flipped him I had to wait for him to open fire first.  He soon obliged, although I nearly lost my ship because of that stupid 'Are you sure you want to do this' message that popped up.  I didn't, once the webs were on him and the tracking disruptor he went down fighting.

Back in Curse for a roam

I jumped down to Curse on my alt, mainly because I couldn't be arsed to make the 20 jumps on Tronix, and quickly jumped into my dual prop Taranis to go join a small gang we had roaming in Providence/Catch area.

Warping to the Litom gate, some of my corp mates had dropped a bubble and I cross jumped a Myrmidon so I burnt back to the gate and jumped through just in time to whore the mail on the myrm and his pod...lol.

So moving on I caught up with the others, Eddierio and Atwa in a Myrm each and Parfait M in a Cynabal.  I started scouting the route back, making a quick detour into KDF however and I found an Abaddon on scan towards the out gate, he jumped and I followed.  Eventually catching up with him in F4R2, getting tackle on him, he started to reapproach the gate.  He then agro'd and turned out to be a Tachyon fit Abaddon, slowly I worked through his light drones, whilst this was going on the rest of my gang had caught up.  By the time I had popped all his drones I was entering structure and the Abaddon popped, he didnt warp his pod out and lost that too.

We headed back toward Hq and I hopped in my Helios with Atwa in his.  One of our corp mates had just been blown up by a Thrasher camping a gate in Hemin so we jumped in and Atwa got agro'd.  Doing what the Helios does best, this Thrasher found himself quadruple webbed and double tracking disrupted and quickly in his pod.

Now at this point, for some reason, I was getting a little cocky and found a Ferox warping around.  He left system and was heading towards Catch.  We caught up with him and got tackle in 1P but he turned out to be bait for a gang that went through earlier, we had no way of knowing.  Needless to say it didnt end well for my poor Helios.  I managed to get my pod out and I warped off to get back to HQ but jumping into the next system I was greeted by one of the gangs sabres and my Pod died heroically.
This was all made worse and served to remind me why alts can sometimes be bad if neglected, by the fact that I didn't realise I had gone over my clone limit and I have now got to train Minmatar Battleship 5 again....fail.

Korg

P.S. Due to the sad nature of the end of this blog, I will be posting a sad video

Ok it wasn't actually sad, just amusing.
